First Landing Page Feedback

Put together first landing page/single pager with Carrd Co (shout out because I believe they're active on here)

Page: https://divisionmax.com/

My goal is to get potential customers and clients onto a first call so we can chat about their goals, why they think they need to be speaking to someone like me, what their current setup and process is etc.

Any and all feedback is appreciated!

Everything looks good, but I personally would delete all the links in the upper part and only leave the one to schedule a call, separate the sub titles with blank space and do not use capital letters within the sentences only at the beginning. On the other hand, the main title should be more attractive and oriented to explain the benefit of working with you, the short description should be "why" and "where they will see" that benefit of working with you. Add to that what they have already told you and you will be more solid in design.

Well goodness that is a crisp mockup

+1 This is really helpful Patrick.

I should be able to tailor it towards your design!

Hey, the page looks good. I would suggest changing several things:

    • You have a clear CTA on the home page, however the green text on the left kind of competes with the button for your attention. Possible solution would be to make the text grey.

    • The green text is a bit long for a heading, try adding a larger font heading like "Automating your business one task at a time" or something similar.

    • Move the CTA below the heading + green text and add an image from (undraw)[https://undraw.co/] (free vectors) or similar place.

    • The testimonials are a bit hard to follow, rearrange them so the quote is at the top and the person and position below, having one quote on separate line. When adding the person name / position use a lighter grey colour to decrease contrast with the quote.

    • Put some vertical margins around the second CTA below the testimonials

    • The links at the bottom are a bit much (personal opinion) you can remove them if you want and add some whitespace so the About Us section is not at the bottom.

    Hope this helps a bit.

This was amazing! Really appreciate it.

Really good point about the CTA and green text competing for attention.

Your tagline of "Automating your business one task at a time" literally made me go, "Ooh, that's good".

Just a quick clarification about the headline + CTA, if you want to have a headline, a longer text below and a button do the following:

        • Headline should be 1.2-1.5 times larger font than the sample text below, but not too big. Make it the standard text colour - dark grey (never use black as the text colour, just looks too dark)
        • The longer text below should be the same size as other body text on the page, but make it lighter grey so it stands out less and doesn't compete with the headline
        • Keep the CTA as is, just move it below

Thanks for the feedback everyone, made some updates and it definitely looks better (well in my opinion).

    Still making changes;

    • A couple of people said "use cases" of sorts would be really helpful and I agree
    • I'm still finding the testimonials a bit cluttered but I'm trying to work around the carrd.co options

Nice, neat and clean @gavinw - I can see your how and what regarding your service offering.

However, I think it's missing why your service is stronger than others. I'm also in the middle of changing my site layout, would be awesome to exchange ideas!

Thanks for the input Felix. I'm just starting my journey into marketing, landing pages, lead generation etc but I'm always down to exchange ideas.

      I checked out your page, for me;

      • Above the fold on a desktop, there's just too many icons going on, nothing specific draws my eye
      • It seems I got a bit of this same feedback on my page, just the 2 -tone scheme of the page makes it quite hard to distinguish the different section of your page (even an alternating grey-white background for the sections could help)
      • I think the "What's inside" logos is too small, it has so much white-space around it, seems a bit out of place
      • The "Try Zlides now" section needs in my opinion Surely it's the most important section? But it does nothing to differentiate itself. The different options for the Zlides (Startup vs Growth) could be separated better, like how most pages use that "card" type of design where each option is slightly raised with a shadow and border etc
      • The only option that is actually available is styled exactly the same as the Pro version which is not available, I feel like there needs to be a more obvious and stronger "leading" of the user to the option they must pick

I don't think there needs to be a "Custom presentation" page as well, why could some of this not be incorporated into the landing page.

I realized now after reading the FAQ that the custom presentations section is like a paid service for you guys to design the slides for the client correct? If so, this was definitely not obvious to me when I first read it.

No expert here but some casual thoughts... viewing this on desktop btw.

Everything being symmetrical meant that I didn't have a clear visual path through the information. I found I ended up scrolling down the bottom first before coming back up to the top. Your headline has equal visual weighting (size, scale, sceeenspace) to your call to action. Would be great to find some way to keep the viewer hanging out here.

Same feedback for the bottom half. A lot of left and right side content. Some might argue too much to read.

Hate to say it - but do you really need the names of all of the people there. Doesn't mean much to the first time viewer and takes up valuable space. Might be nice to have more empty, white space instead for your big message to shine. ***correction - now that I circle back - it wasn't obvious to me that the names were the people behind the quotes.... suggest shrink that name down and put it under the actual quote to build a visual relationship and free up the space on the left. The quotes, in my opinion, are more important than the names.

Vary the size of your fonts - more focus on the big stuff. Let the smaller details be a smaller and/or different font.

Is there an example that you could include that highlights what you have done for someone? Most of this is more of the softer, fluffier corporate speak. It is still not 100% clear what your technical solution to the mundane tasks actually looks like.

Keep in mind that I looked through this quickly - which means I've likely missed details - but that is also the point of a landing page. Draw me in as opposed to making me do the work.

    Hope this helps!

      Really appreciate the time!

      A couple of questions so I fully understand;

      • " Your headline has equal visual weighting " - By headline do you mean, "Solving your business and mundane ..." or "Let's work together" (or both)
      • "left and right side content. Some might argue too much to read." - The testimonials right? - It seems like most people agree with you in regards to your next paragraph, putting the names underneath the quotes. Do you think just the company name is enough?

Very good point in your last paragraph, you SHOULDN'T have to think too hard about the landing page, you should be able to scan and understand.

      Thanks again

    Simple and clean design :)

The copy needs a lot of work though (IMHO).

Skip talking about strategy session and design session (everyone does that, no need to talk about it).

Who's the end customer for your service? Call them out in the text.

Show more exactly what type of work you do in Python & Django. I would give a concrete example, maybe something like:
"ABC company reached out to us and wanted to automate their customer support process, in their previous situation they had 3 people working full time with doing X and Y. After identifying their workflow and understanding their process we noticed that there was many repetitive tasks that could be automated. Thru using THIS and THAT we managed to fully automate 90% of the whole process and free up 2 people"

Not exactly like that but some type of case study or concrete example would be something I would like to see.

    Good luck with it :)

    P.S.

      Appreciate the time Rayden!

It seems a few agree with your point about concrete examples, I'm going to try add use-cases/case studies

Too White. Try dual tone or inverse the green to white. Hope this helps.
    Try Canva.

    1. 1

Thanks! Why do you prefer Canva out of interest?

      1. 1

For mostly visualization of UI design and how the end product should look like. You can create mock up webpages on canva using a ruler tool available on chrome for perfect dimensions. Coding the perfectness with colour numbers is ur call.
        Thanks.

I like the layout and the contrasting green. I would recommend some background color to separate the sections. Just a simple light gray behind the About Us would be enough to separate the footer from the Testimonials.

      Thanks!

Funnily enough, I just viewed another user's landing page and I had the exact same thought, so I totally understand your thinking here

add a little color and put your CTA earlier

    1. 1

      Thanks for the input!

Do you mean color in regards to the separating sections, or varying fonts, headings etc?

Would you rather have the CTA "Schedule FREE Call Now" essentially at the top of the page?

It's just a well supported marketing copy technique from books I've read to remove any concerns, "Will I suddenly get charged at the end for this", "Do I need to ask about price, is there a price listed anywhere?" etc

      Appreciate it!

You just reminded me I do actually have a logo. It's essentially just a styling of the name.

Could you explain the navigation items a bit more, what would you have expected/found more intuitive?

Might try a Version B with that approach

So an additional CTA in that "header" menu?
