First Launch on Product Hunt Today

Today we launched Ligalio on Product Hunt. 👏
Ligalio is a privacy policy generator for websites and apps.
Why is it better than other generators or free options❓ Because it is made by certified lawyers so that your privacy policy can be GDPR-ready and as detailed as possible (most generators actually are generic templates and are non-compliant).

Thanks! Yes, it is critical to have lawyers behind it. Many generators are built by tech people who solve their own problem - mainly when 3rd parties request a privacy policy. The thing is, 3rd parties will accept it, even if it is non-compliant. But you still risk getting in trouble with the regulator.

I just asked ChatGPT to create it. It was so easy I don't know how to make it easier.
Do you mean to create a privacy policy with ChatGPT?
If that is the case, I am 100% sure it is non-compliant.
The main reason for making your policy compliant is very simple:
You will get a fine for non-compliant policy.
The fine will be public in many databases like https://www.enforcementtracker.com or local data protection authorities, damaging your reputation.
If your customers lose trust in you, you lose business.
I suggest creating your own privacy policy based on the data you process.

AI doesn't know your business but you can use it to assist you. Cool, please post the blog once you have completed it.
Yes, that is the issue with AI, especially the stuff that is offline and only the owner knows. Will post here once the blog post is ready.
And thanks for mentioning Ai here. Because it is a huge topic and many of our clients have initially done exactly that - create a policy with AI. And then a few of them received letters from data protection authorities. Unfortunately, we don't know how the authorities selected them, but they were quite visible startups in Europe.

Yes, I plan to write a short post explaining what traffic we got, purchases etc. Based on the posts I have read here, it seems like a split opinion. Although, I can already see some startups with 300+ votes within 1 hour (not me) 🤣
