First MRR ($50) for our bootstrapped sales tool

We finally pushed our alpha Chrome Extension - snippets.ai out this week

My partner and I have been working together for the last few years and have built a healthy consulting services business. While doing that we have also been tinkering with putting out some revenue generating SaaS tools to really help ourselves, and in turn hopefully help others.

Last week we allowed our first real customers to join the platform, and drove our first real revenue - $50/month per seat.

We have 3 teams that have agreed to use the tool for 3 months. Hopefully they convert, and this drives up our revenue. I am aiming to share our build process, costs, and trials and tribulations along the way.

So far its working

What we built:
Snippets.ai - a sales outreach and email creation chrome extension

It is a chrome extension that can prospect and find contacts email addresses, contact information, and interest graph from a handful of services - starting on a LinkedIn profile.

Once you have a contacts email, you can create a prompt (a snippet!) that writes a custom email to that person. You can then email them straight from the plugin or cut/paste that message to your cadence tool.

Snippets saves the contact, enriching it over time. It also saves the Snippet template, and the emails it creates.

We also allow you to "change the recipe" for the email over time - essentially re-writing the prompts to allow you to contour and edit the message until you get what you want.

We do 3 things really well

• Prospect leads from places like Linkedin
• Write emails from incredible prompts using AI
• Hand you the message to send in your cadence tool
• (bonus!) allow you to change the note with anything you want

There are a lot of tools attacking this space right now, but we hope with our alpha customers and a shared channel with us it will give us an edge to build exactly what they want, and let us open it up to others too.

This community has been super helpful, and I am a bit embarrassed by what we put out, but you have to start somewhere!
