First paid customer who I don't know personally - what I improved since launch

Created codera.app

Have gotten paid customers from people who know me, teachers, friends, ect. But I have just gotten my first customer from the internet.

I believe the landing page played a key role. To optimize it, we ran traffic and looked at the conversion rates and changed accordingly, also reaching out to hacker communities like this one/subreddits for feedback was helpful.

Best addition I did imo, was making the social proof more legit by screen shotting directly from our feedback form and from emails rather than copy pasting them into the HTML.

Also adding our current user count at the top of the page with profile pictures. Got that from vianotion, thanks Basharath.

Anyways, excited to keep growing.

    Hey awesome, congrats man 🎉

Thanks for mentioning me. I opened this post myself without me knowing the mention(you could have used @) . :)

Recently I too got a user who opted for an annual subscription organically and that was a great feeling.

Congratulations on getting your first customer from the internet! It sounds like you have a great system in place to optimize your landing page and get feedback from hacker communities. Keeping up with an active feedback loop and social proofing your product is a great way to build trust with potential customers. Keep up the great work!

The landing page looks great. Just a question - Why coding, why not any other subject like science, maths? I mean we all know what happened with white hat jr.

    1. 1

It initially was a side project for coding. But also demand for quality and especially fun coding education is going to increase.

Do people allow you to use their pictures? We're very anxious about this at decktopus. We always ask before using their photo.
