Mid January we soft-launched crop.guide, a NoCode image editor. In short, you add a script tag to your webpage and crop.guide then helps users edit their image uploads.

With my other products it was relatively easy to generate traffic, but for some reason with crop.guide it’s a lot harder. We’ve been averaging around 20 visitors a day 🥲

For the past month we’ve been fixing search engine index issues. Trying to write some more content, which for some reason Google doesn’t want to index, maybe it’s because I initially messed up canonical, maybe it’s the .guide TLD? 🤷‍♂️ We’ve fixed problems with emails landing in spam. CropGuide integrates with everything which makes it a bit difficult to market so we built a Bubble plugin to test being present in a niche store. And we squashed all kinds of other bugs that we’re glad to have found now instead of after an actual launch.

Over the weeks we got some very positive feedback. The customers that we spoke to weren’t complaining about the price point and seemed to grasp the concept and value proposition of the product pretty quickly, so that all seemed okay. But still no one pulled the trigger.

We considered pivoting or changing the offering but decided to stick to our guns for a bit longer to see if we can increase traffic with ads or articles on other platforms and increase our sample size to get more feedback. Because maybe we’re only hitting a couple positives in a small sample.

Then this afternoon while I was working on one of those articles our first customer subscribed to our mid tier 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

I’m so hyped because I know if there’s one, there’s definitely ten more! And then some. Odds have increased we’re on the right track. 💪
