FIRST SALE EVER! Goodbye bubbles, hello customers

Ok.. it might only be £3 but wow. What a rush.

I was a little shocked when I logged into the Gumroad app this morning and didn't have the ZERO bubbles floating about. I was getting used to flinging them about for a sad little moment before logging out again.

Gumroad was so easy to set up and get my first sale. I can't believe it took me this long to just get started.

Fingers crossed I get a few more sales... 🙌

A sale to a stranger is a big deal. Congrats Caroline! 🍾

It means that the funnel is working, and the value proposition is compelling. Now it’s a matter of trying to get more people to know about you and the product. It’s not an easy task, but it’s quite incredible how consistent conversion rates tend to be. X visits -> Y sales.

    Best of luck!

I'm running a small experiment and put up some some FB/IN ads yesterday. Hopefully they will bring more people in so that I can then run further experiments on conversion. Fingers crossed!

Awesome! I felt the same way for my first sale from BuildFaster.co :)

Aw excellent. It's a wee bit weird knowing someone has something you made hah.

Also I love your website. The hero messaging at the top has a really strong offering around time saving.

Hey Caroline! Congrats for your first sale!

I made my first sale this week too, very unexpected and happy for it.

What is your product? Mine is an e-book about how I started taking profit of my Twitter account instead of wasting my time there.

If you are curious you can check it here: https://gum.co/hkVRI

    Hope to see yours!

Aw well done!! I tried to jump on the recent app customisation band wagon. I had a set of Game of Throne app icons I made years ago and quickly refactored them to see if they would sell. It's a little bit of an experiment to get myself into the habit of making and shipping.

You can see them here - https://gumroad.com/l/got-icons

wow they're pretty cool, I think there's a market for that.

I'm exploring doing a new set for some other niche fandoms. Suggestions welcome!

Thanks! Oh, I took your note and I've just set up some Instagram ads to see if I get more traffic. Will report back.
