So, Today I made my first sale! I sold a Job Post for $79(devremote.io)! It feels insane, all about the little victories!
Its such a cool feeling to know that the code / product you have created has produced value for someone.
Unsure at the moment how I got the sale, I think it was from social media. Feels fitting that I get this right after talking about failure in my latest vlog.
Any who, hope you are well and stay safe. I look forward to hearing about everyone's first sales as well, I find it really motivating to see others achieving their goals 😃.
One thing that I found - Trial and error really does pay off, do not be put off because one thing didn't work.
Congrats, that's awesome!
Thanks Tobe! Really appreciate it!
CONGRATS! 🙌
Congrats!!! Gong gong gong !
Thank you!!! :)
awesome! how long from launch to sale? and how did the customer come to you?
Cheers!
thanks man :) , it took about 6 weeks from launch to sale and from a social media channel, I think it was twitter, hope that helps :)
what a nice feeling - congrats on the milestone!
Thank you!! :) Appreciate it!
Congratulations!!!!!
thanks stephen :)
Great! That first customer feeling 🤩.
The joy of receiving an email from Stripe that someone has signed up for the paid plan! Total bliss!
It feels awesome haha, quickly faded though, have to figure out how I am going to get the second, third ect haha. But like you mention, was extremely blissful!
Congrats, mate! How long did that take (since launching)?
I've silently released 99remotejobs.com about a month ago, and hasn't been a single sale yet. There are about 30 visits a day (referred through some of my other products).
It took about 6 - 8 weeks, I launched it back in June and similarly to you got similar numbers for a while. Recently though traffic has started to increase, getting around 100 - 200 Visits per day, a few extra email sign ups per day as well.
A lot of traffic does come from social media though.
p.s. I've posted it on SaaSHub, too https://www.saashub.com/devremote-io-alternatives. You can verify it there to boost its position on the homepage today.
Thanks man, appreciate that :)
Congratulations George.
Uclusion has a tool particularly suited to remote developers. Is there a way to advertise on your site or in your newsletter?
Hey disrael, there is indeed, do you have twitter? if you reach out to me at https://twitter.com/DegreelessDev via DM we can have a chat and figure something out :)
Thanks George I have sent a message on Twitter to you.

Thank you :) - In terms of price, I experimented, Just thought I'd see if someone was willing to pay for it. I think that is one of the key ideas with pricing.
I mean as software products we are lucky because our costs are often quite low, leaving a lot of room for experimentation. So in short, there was not strategy, I just thought it was a reasonable price. I also have a more premium price at $99, that has some extra benefits.
