We use machine learning to design logos and we just had our first sale (a founder bought our 49$ logo package) on DesignwithAI within 7 days of launching the product. I've heard stories that it feels amazing and it indeed does. Extremely happy for all the feedback I've received from fellow startup founders.
Some tips for new founders.
- Try to post about your product on social media as much as you can. We post at least 3 logos on daily bases to at least 5 different social media platforms.
- HN and PH are definitely good but Reddit is awesome for early reviews. We posted on several subreddits and our post got about 150 upvotes and around 50-75 comments. That helped us massively in quickly improving our product.
- Engage! We have tried our level best to answer to every single person that has commented about our product. People have really liked this and that seems to be one of the reasons they are continuously providing us feedback.

For reddit marketing, do you find it's mostly people who are interested in the product (potential buyers)? I always had the impression that reddit was a no-go for marketing anything design related for some reason.

No - most of those users were just very good reviewers. They didn't buy any logo but provided valuable feedback that we immediately incorporated. Moreover, because of the nature of our product, we believed once people started to know about it, it'd spread by word of mouth. That was the main intention behind posting at Reddit. We might not get sales right away but in the long terms, people will definitely talk about our product with other founders.
