First-time founder with MVP ready — feeling stuck and overwhelmed. Looking for guidance or a potential co-founder.
Hey everyone,
I’ve been building something really close to my heart it’s called TwoCents, an AI-powered expense tracker specifically designed for couples to manage shared expenses, set financial goals together, and reduce money-related conflict in their relationship.
I’m proud to say the MVP is functioning and ready to be tested, but as a solo founder and first-timer, I’m hitting that wall you know the one where you start to second guess everything and feel like you’re missing key pieces?
I’ve done my best learning design, dev tools, marketing bits, and pushing through doubt. But right now, I’m looking for help and community:
A fellow developer or product mind who’d love to join as a technical or product co-founder
Someone who's built consumer-facing apps and can offer feedback or mentorship
Beta testers, couples who want to test and give honest feedback
I truly believe in the problem TwoCents is solving, helping couples build trust and structure around money. But I know I can’t grow this alone.

the "MVP ready but stuck" feeling is super common. before this when you were building and what was the messiest part going from idea to working app? i'm researching how first-time builders get through that, would you be up for a quick 20-min chat?
Your MVP looks genuinely thoughtful. Two-person split of core + growth is the standard move. I finish half-built products frequently. What's your stack?
I really respect the honesty in your post. I’m not the person you’re looking for, but I wanted to say your MVP progress is further than mine, and that’s something to be proud of. I’ve shut down past projects built on clunky tools like Yahoo! Site Builder. Now I’m building WYRLL, and while my UI works, the backend’s still a beast.
TwoCents is a solid idea. I do think the 'split expenses' angle might feel off in some relationships it’s often 'us vs. the world' but goal tracking and financial transparency are powerful. Even slow progress feels good when it’s visible.
Doubt just means you care. If you’re proud of your MVP, that’s enough. And if you ever want feedback or just someone else who gets it, I’m happy to be part of the grind with you.

Absolutely we can connect, you have a product made with thought. After reviewing that link I see things I like and improvements that can make towcents really stand out. I haven't logged in yet, I will, but I'm impressed with it..its a great MVP... just for my own research for WYRLL, though what was the monetary cost to get there? Whats the users cost?
