Hi all. I have an issue that I could solve for myself and at least a few people that I have found online with the same issue. Would love to hear your feedback about it.
I am using an app called Regularly and the idea behind it is to use it for flexible tasks. Anything like getting a haircut, changing the sheets or checking the oil. Something that does not have to be done exactly at a specific time or day but is done regularly.
There are 3 issues with the app:
I could make an app that does the same things but better by solving these 3 issues. I mentioned that other people have the same issue (https://www.reddit.com/r/androidapps/comments/3puv57/looking_for_an_app_like_regularly_a_todo_list_app/) but since this is not a one weekend project, I would love to hear your feedback and what you think about this idea.
Thanks!
Other than number 3, how are you different from ChaosControl? How else are you going to stand out?
First of all, thanks for mentioning ChaosControl, I was not familiar with it. At first glance, it looks like it does not offer flexible tasks.
Example of a flexible task:
I need to replace my contact lenses after a month of use. I start using the first pair today. If I replace them quicker or use them a bit longer, the second change will be moved a few days before or later and will not happen exactly 2 months from now.
Example of a not flexible task:
I need to pay my fitness subscription every month by a certain date. If I pay sooner or a few days later, the next date of payment will stay the same.
That and the 3rd point are ideas of how to stand out (1st and 2nd points are something people expect anyway). Not sure if it is enough but I know that it would be super useful for me and there seems to be some demand for it.
