Focusing all lasers on a tiny niche.

My app idea, as most, started of with an idea that would be "good for everyone". Of course, it's rather hard to market to the whole world with tailor-made messaging that gets them to try out the product.
What's the easiest way to test this whole niche thing out? Copy my landing page a bunch of times, change a few words for specific niches & see which one does best! Curious to find out which one will win out? Follow me now (:

If you have any feedback (mainly on the top 3 as I think it has the most promise) it's more than welcome! I realize now that different subdomains are a bad idea for overall traffic & SEO so I'll be changing that.
My own concerns

  • Not enough explanation about the product
  • Benefits not clear
  • CTA not strong enough
  • Taglines could be better

There are many other programs related to laser light. I'm also working in the similar project you can see here the detail https://laserjudge.com/

Awesome. I just sent you a message.

I think what you're creating is almost like an Instagram Story - did I understand the tool right?

    1. 1

Yes its a good comparison, but some important difference:

      • Audio only, so you can use it while driving / cycling / etc
      • Longer than IG stories, I'd say 3-5 minutes on average

While that may not sound like much it changes the whole feel & target of the app.

Honestly I feel you just decided to come up with lines rather than actually think about a specific person and use case.

What's the greatest value in the product?
    Who would benefit from it?
What do they want to do? What's the hard painful problem for them? How do you solve it for them?

I'm definitly not a marketer / growth person so I'm just kind of trying things out and taking it from there. Thank you for the feedback though, maybe I should give it some more thought but I feel like I'm getting closer every time.
If those questions do not get answered in those pages then I'm definitly not there yet.

Spend more time on it and it would get better.

Do you have people using it and loving it?
Could try just a wide net approach first
        Than see what flowers
Talk to the people who love it, ask them why? What they do with it? What does it do for them? Who would they recommend this for?

        1. 1

Haha yea will also try some of that. Just when I try on everyone and ask help I get "you need a niche!" and now you suggest doing the shotgun approach again (:

            Hehe...
Well you got a product before you got a niche... (If I got it right)
I think Pinterest and Tumblr started as wide net, found a niche that loved them and than refocused.

There is more than one way for things, due one covers 80% to 95% and especially for indie...

If your going wide net it's usually burning more money and time for discovery/research.. it's one step back not a replacement..
But at times it's more useful.

It depends.. if you can't come up with the reasons people would use it and who... (Which begs a question why build it)

Well, my idea originally came from my own need while on a world trip. It was a lot of hassle to keep everyone updates & stay in the loop of everything everyone was doing. Text is tedious, pictures never tell the real story, and audio is relatively badly supported on most platforms.

But I've gotten a bunch of useful feedback today, definitely have some thinking to do before the next action (: thanks!
