I became a full-time maker/indie hacker a year ago and I really liked the openness of the community from day one. Still, by the end of the year, I felt that it would be great to learn even more about fellow makers. That's why I started The Maker Report in December.

I've finished doing the survey. I have one question, regarding:
"The monthly revenue I'm making through my products is.."
The answers are aiming to look for % of expenses covered, this is oriented to the cost vs sale of the specific product/service? or the expenses that I have already? (mortgages, bills, etc).

That question is focusing on all expenses (bills, rent, monthly subscriptions, etc). The shorter version would be, can you cover all of your expenses with the income you make through your products?

Is this 70% stat from your survey? How many person have you surveyed? And from which countries?
Yes. It has almost 100 responses at the moment (1 000 would be better :)). Only 50 people gave an answer to the question about their location. Based on that, the top 5 countries are:

200$ is not bad as a side hustle. The 200$ in India and Hungary has more value than in US and UK. The time spent to generate this 200$ is an important factor as well.

Yes, for a side hustle it's great and you are also right that location and the time spent working on the project also matters a lot. After I'll close the survey at the end of January, I'll take a deeper look at the collected information to find out the "real value" of this revenue.
