For anyone building a course — what’s the hardest part?

Hello!
I’ve been chatting with creators who want to monetize their knowledge but get stuck somewhere along the way. I’m trying to understand where the biggest friction really is.

For those of you who’ve built or tried building a course: what’s been the hardest part of the process?

👉 Quick poll below, and feel free to drop details in the comments if your experience doesn’t fit neatly into these buckets.

For me watching course creators: the hardest part isn't content creation, it's running the business around the course. Student tracking, follow-ups, affiliate management, revenue by cohort - all the operational stuff nobody talks about.

Course creators end up being solopreneurs whether they planned to or not. And most are managing all of this in scattered spreadsheets or DMs because there's no ops system built for their specific situation.

Building a Solopreneur Notion OS for exactly this - a linked system covering CRM, client/student portal, project tracker, and revenue dashboard in one place. Not a course platform, but the business OS that sits behind it. What's the hardest part for you specifically - content, sales, or the operational side?

For cohort organizers the hardest part isn't building content - it's that students disappear around week 3 and you don't notice until it's over. No early warning, no consequence for going quiet. That's the gap I'm building around at Lockpoint.
