Hi!
Here is my situation. Every time I work on a new side project I create a bunch of new accounts, i.e: Twitter for the product, a MailChimp (EmailOctopus or Convertkit) list to gather some emails, a GitHub Repo, or even a YouTube Channel, etc.
The question is, how all of you that are in similar situations, keep track of each account to see if their followers/subscribers/viewers are growing? I find it useful to track this to know if what I have posted/published is getting a good response, and also to grow my audience of that particular side-project.
I'm asking because I'm working on a side-project to solve this issue and I would love to gather some feedback from people facing the same issue. If someone is willing to help, it would be great if can answer any of these questions:
Thanks in advance for all your help!
It's a problem but not big enough. There's always turnaround to measure the growth of each accounts. I used to measure most accounts via Hubspot, but I didn't really read the statistics.
For some projects I will just use Supermetrics to convert all data into spreadsheet format for further analysis.
Thanks, felix for your answer. I didn't know supermetrics I'm going to check it.
I'm building a little SaaS to solve this exact problem. Will silently launch next week. So far I have basic metrics from Analytics, Search Console, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Stripe. I've been working on it on and off for the past two years and... it's been a struggle to say the least.
Ha I started to work on it a year ago, so I understand you haha. At the beginning I had Instagram integration aswell but I finally had to remove it because of the new Facebook API released... that API is a nightmare
It's a pain, but for me, not big enough of a pain to pay something to solve it.
Fair enough. Thanks for your answer!
I don't have an answer because I'm struggling with this, too. I'm interested in seeing what people say.
Great, you are not alone haha. Do you mind answer some of the following questions:
Which accounts do you usually use? What metrics do you find important to track?Would you pay for a solution that collects all this information in one place for you?
Thanks!
I currently use the free version of Hootsuite, with Twitter, IG, FB.
Oh, I thought that tool was just for planing content and all that stuff, not for get metrics like followers. Good to know, thanks for your answer!
