For the startup, how to choose the collaborative tools for the daily work?

For the startup, it is important to choose collaborative tools for the team. For example, for the documental collaborative or the task management, you may choose Notion, Clickup, Monday and so on. How do you choose it?

Pick ones that are free (Trello, Google Docs) or provide some discount for startups (Notion, Basecamp etc.) over subscription services.

I'll usually go with the free tool first since the team is small. But I would not spend too much time on making the decision. I'll just pick on and move on.

Either you can choose free tools but most of them bring a pricing model after they get enough recognition, so make sure the free tools are having a long-term free policy, or else you can spend little money to buy while a bunch of tools like Microsoft 365 which we are using in our organization (Evalogical). You can find so many tools in there, it is long-term.

(Can’t yet vote) But I go with simplicity, which for me is typically Trello.

Go for less pricey options and learning curve to use for team is less.

Small team need low cost and easy-to-use tools, or craft a automation system with Make/Zapier - Notion/GoogleSuite/Discord etc

If it's a small team, then definitely a low-cost tool which contains at least the basic features we need. We can always upgrade/switch later on once the team scales or if needed.
