For those of you who have been the interviewer or interviewee for a text-based interview (Indie Hackers style), do you have any advice?

My current project requires me to conduct text-based interviews, typically over email. I'm excited to get started with this, as I've seen some seriously interesting content come from this format. Before I dive in though, I want to be sure my strategies for this lead to the smoothest, most enjoyable interviews possible, for the readers, those being interviewed, and me as the interviewer.

Do you have experience with email interviews, either as the interviewer or interviewee? What advice would you offer to make these interviews go well?
