For those of you who use (or used) Slack

I was wondering how you manage all the Slack channels that add up over time.
I spend a few minutes every week to go through the channels and leave channels that are not relevant to me anymore.

Did any of you encounter a similar problem?
If so, what is your approach?

We juggled several Slack channels, and on the free tier, it got laggy and noisy.

We ended up just switching to WhatsApp. It felt more fluid. Social/chat apps are more conducive to discussion and collaboration. As helps establish interpersonal rapport quicker, which makes other decision making smoother.

We are only 7 guys in total. So it's not a big headache actually.

We have #general, #random, #support and two three common channels and then every time we take a project we open a new one. We close it right after we think we are done.
