I used to be a high school teacher in Japan.
Over the years, I saw countless students struggle with the same quiet pain:
“I don’t have a dream.”
Not only that—many had dreams they buried deep down, choosing instead to live by their parents’ expectations or social pressure.
They had lost touch with their own inner voice.
But that was also me.
Back in high school, I had no idea what I wanted to do.
And more than that, I didn’t even know how to begin figuring it out.
This site was designed for that version of me.
I spent months asking myself: “What kind of experience would have moved the old me to take action?”
I had zero programming knowledge when I started.
I’d barely heard of HTML, and didn’t even know CSS or JavaScript existed.
I built everything using ChatGPT.
And it was brutal.
When ChatGPT couldn’t identify the cause of an error, I was stuck—completely.
Even a missing comma could halt everything, and I didn’t know enough to fix it.
I had no programmer friends, no one to ask. I was alone.
Some bugs took me over 30 hours to solve.
There were times when I genuinely believed I’d never finish.
But I kept going. Because I needed this to exist.
When I was lost and couldn’t find a dream, I didn’t want to go to a cheerful theme park.
I wanted something quiet. A little darker.
Somewhere I could sit with my feelings without being told to “smile more.”
That’s why this site feels more like Wizardry or Dark Souls than a self-help blog.
The goal is simple:
To help people hear their inner voice again.
To help them discover their true goals.
And to give them tools and structure to actually achieve them—with joy, not guilt.
On the site, you’ll explore a dark mansion.
You’ll hear the regrets of the dead, be diagnosed in a strange clinic, and uncover truths about yourself.
In the dungeon, you’ll build habits around learning, nutrition, exercise, brain science, and early rising.
Other rooms invite you to write a daily journal (just to praise yourself!) or reflect on your own life.
People who’ve used the site have shared thoughts like:
“The more honestly I wrote, the more I discovered parts of myself I didn’t know existed. It was surprising... and a little scary.”
“I realized I’m not such a great person. I’ve been hiding behind a fake image.”
“I finally understand why I get angry—or happy—at certain things.”
“Now I see why my past efforts never lasted.”
“I never expected to be rethinking my diet just to chase my dream.”
This project is more than a website.
It’s a wish.
When someone finds a dream, they change.
Their lives begin to move forward, just a little.
And maybe—just maybe—that leads to fewer crimes, fewer fights, fewer sad endings.
That’s why I made it available in 31 languages.
I want to reach anyone, anywhere, who feels lost.
And I want to connect with people around the world.
Someday, I’d love to team up and build something huge—something so meaningful, it surprises the world.
Since no one’s leaving a comment, I’ll do it myself.
This site is incredible.
Did you really build all of this on your own—with zero knowledge? That’s amazing!
And the way your teaching experience is woven in… it genuinely feels like a place where someone could discover their dream.
Thank you, me!
