Forget "12 startups in 12 months" I'm doing the 6by12 challenge

Hey everyone!

I am participating in the 6by12 challenge.

It's my take on the "12 startups in 12 months" trend.

12x12 is great for fun, building an audience, and getting into the practice of building.

I've tried it myself in the past. But I found shipping with products quickly, often they end up being very early MVPs or lack the distribution and marketing needed to get real feedback.

This time I'm embracing quality over quantity, I want to focus on building fewer products but with the goal of finding a "big hitter" that I can work on for longer and potentially sell one day.

As a software developer, I am skilled at building products but I want to focus on improving my marketing.

This is where the 6by12 comes in.

6 products in 12 months.

1 month for researching and building.

1 month for distributing, marketing, acting on feedback and reflecting on what I can do better for the next one.

I will be sharing my progress and updates here and on Twitter - https://twitter.com/JoelPickin

I am excited to embark on this journey, let's get stuck in!
