Founder agreements- worth it?

What are your thoughts on founders agreements? Is it worth putting one together before a product is built/making any money?

    i only create an agreement after we've sufficiently worked together for a few months.

    but, i start by letting the person(s) know that after X amount of days, we'll discuss continuing to move forward. i assume an even split on equity.

    How much of your time and effort are you willing to walk away from and hand over to your cofounder? That's the point at which you need to have an agreement that covers all aspects of your partnership.
