I agree that founder skillsets and mindset are often overlooked. It's something I've learned slowly over time after working at several startups. Founders need to work on their weaknesses or else it will hold back the whole company. That's one reason I never hesitate to suggest to people to work at a startup or two before founding your own. Experience is incredibly valuable and it can help you grow and avoid situations like you're describing.
