Founders who don't check Google Analytics and don't know their website traffic πŸ“ˆπŸ“‰πŸ“Š

Founders, how many of you here never checked Google Analytics and don't know what's happening with your website traffic? πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’ΌπŸ“ˆπŸ“‰πŸ“Š

There's so much that may be uncovered that you would never have thought about, and it's all under your nose πŸ‘ƒ, you just need to know where to look πŸ‘€.

It's frustrating to see some of you struggle with marketing and not knowing where to start.

I'll be happy to jump on a quick call πŸ“žto show you what you've been missing, what to check and how to interpret. If you don't know this information, it may greatly help you decide what to do next.

Best part? It's free, I'm only trying to help fellow founders.

Yes, Google Analytics (and Google Tag Manager) are quite useful. I especially like the referrer sites to check your most successful channels.

For self-hosting I can also recommend this analytics tool: https://turtle.community/discovery/508. It's even working without cookies.

You engineers aren't looking for easy ways, right haha? An analytics tool that runs in a terminal ... Interesting but no idea what it means.

It means you can see the visualization in the terminal. But to be fair, there is also an output in the browser: https://rt.goaccess.io/?20190828082924&ref=hpimg. Isn't it beautiful?

You know what I uncovered on one Google Analytics account recently for a SaaS where the founder didn't check it himself? That the most highly converting traffic source stopped because a referring website removed all support posts and instead of getting hundreds or visitors from that source, they are now getting 0 and they couldn't figure out why the lead flow dropped for months now.
    Check your Analytics!

+1 on this. To be fair, founders could use any analytics software, but it's actually vital that they would check it and understand (at least basics). However, I'm always surprised that most people bother to install the GA tracking code but aren't checking the data. Why track your visitors at all if you don't use it?

I'd potentially be interested. How can I reach you?

Sure, just schedule a call on my calendar https://calendly.com/practicesecret/15min or email me at [email protected]

That's a very generous offer. I hope people take you up on it! Every founder should be versed in Google Analytics and the Google Search Console.
