I'd describe the purpose of the PageSpeed Reports app like so: You are constantly changing your website and Google is always changing ranking algorithms. You have more important things to do than checking the PageSpeed reports manually. Hence PageSpeed Reports (and it's free up to 3 sites)!
We all know, that Google looks up your page loading speed and UX when raking it for positions on certain keywords. If your site has bad PageSpeed scores, that can translate to lower rankings.
If you constantly change the content on your site, maybe forget to optimize an image, then the PageSpeed score might drop. It’s always good to know if your site is “in the green”. That’s what our reports do.
