Hi Everyone,
I'm JL and I've been working retention for the last 10+ years. From really big companies to startups that were just starting.
Being a Solopreneur myself I realized that is very difficult (and slow) to improve in areas where you don't have enough experience/knowledge. That's why I thought I could offer some tips and basic advice to small creators that need it and can't afford it.
So, if you are a small creator with a project that is generating less than 5k MRR and you are struggling with retention, shoot me a DM here or on Twitter - https://twitter.com/jlmartinserrano (Preferably in twitter as I check it more often).
Don't expect a full Retention consultancy, but I'll try my best on pointing you to right direction for your project.
Thanks!
My understanding is that high percentages of churn are normal in a mobile app based business but we're going to do what we can to bring the number of uninstalls down as much as possible.
Higher% could be normal, but depends on many factors. What's your industry, what's your business model, etc.
If you want me to take a look, or you have a concrete question let me know. Thanks!
I would very much appreciate it if you might be able to help us figure out what is normal vs abnormal churn for our app. It's hard to estimate revenue potential when you have no idea how many downloads might turn into happy customers vs unhappy uninstallers.
I do know that we have technical issues with how our Bluetooth detection and identification code works where the app actually doesn't work for everybody - so that's been a pressing issue I'm trying to resolve. At least then, I can take that out of the equation.
This is our app in the Google Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.consumeraffinity.whereistheblue
I'd be happy to give you access to our Developer console if that would help.
Hey, drop me a DM in Twitter for faster comm. I have some questions to ask you.
cool! such a nice offer!
Thanks! But it seems it's not very interesting to the community 🤷♂️
i'm just not in a position to use this atm... but, so cool!
It's never to early to start 🙂
But feel free to reach me whenever you want. Thanks!

Is there something wrong with this sentence? 🤔

I would say that this is a pretty normal distribution. There's a top 10% of business doing more than the rest.
Also, I think that most of the people would agree that 5k is a good business, but it's a starting point.
My idea is try to help (if I can) to break this barriers.
Thanks!
