Free Influencer Marketing Course 😍

Hey everyone! I have been reading the forum for a long time, so I decided to contribute to this awesome community as well. 🙏

I made this step-by-step Influencers marketing course that basically explains how to go through the whole process in the most efficient way.

It took me some time to put all of this together, so I do hope you will find it useful! I would love to also get some feedback. I made a video on this already on my Youtube channel but I am thinking if I should turn this into an in-depth article on my website as well.

Just to give you some stats on influencer marketing:

  • 1$ spent = $5.78 in return
  • 11x ROI compared to banner ads

Don’t forget you also get User Generated Content, brand authority, and so on…

A few brands that have primarily been built with influencer marketing:

  • Gymshark - $1+ billion
  • MVMT - $100+ million
  • Snow - $100+ million

What makes a good influencer:

  • Followers don't matter - vanity metric
  • Good Engagement rate
  • Followers and likes can be bought
  • Like comment ratio
  • Ask for statistics
  • See their growth rate

Also, consider:

  • Posting frequency (shaderoom example)
  • Sponsored post ratio
  • Brand relevancy
  • Quality of posts (can you re-use it)

When doing influencer research you have to decide on a few main metrics:

  • Language
  • Minimum Engagement
  • Content-type/niche
  • Personal/page/company

Types of influencers:

  • Celebrity
  • Authority figure
  • Micro-influencers (up to 10k)

You do have to keep in mind that engagement is more important than just the follower numbers.

Once you have chosen your Influencers, you have to define your goals. Here are a few examples:

  • Awareness (brand mentions)
  • Followers
  • Leads (Email list)
  • Sales (Revenue)
  • User-Generated Content

When it comes to campaigns that you are running there are also a few different ones you can try out:

  • Special sale (coupon code)
  • Product Review
  • Contest/group contest
  • Account Takeovers
  • Shoutouts

Don’t forget when you are running an influencer campaign you need to specify how you want yourself to be included within their posts/accounts:

  • Ask to be tagged
  • Handle in description
  • Create specific hashtag
  • Link in Bio
  • Story Link

You also always want to have Call To Action for the audience:

  • Follow/Subscribe
  • Tag a friend
  • Go purchase
  • Sign up for email list

To understand how your influencer campaigns are performing, you always need to track your conversions. Here are a few ways you can do it:

  • Discount codes
  • Affiliate program
  • Link shortener (bitly)
  • Google UTM

Don’t forget to always ask for audience demographics when contacting influencers, to understand whether it actually fits your audience. A few main things to ask:

  • Country/Region
  • Gender
  • Age

Once you have all of the above set, you need to start going through Instagram and find all the influencers that fit your criteria and start adding them to a spreadsheet like Google docs.

This is very important as later on, you will want to send them bulk emails and follow-ups to save a ton of time, so you need to have everything organized in one doc.

I go through all of this process step by step in a youtube video on my channel, as it is easier to understand this process seeing it visually explained.

By the way, you can easily outsource this by getting a cheap Virtual Assistant. As this is not a complex task it is pretty simple to delegate it.

Automated Bulk Emails

Once you have created a file of all the influencers you want to contact them and the easiest way to do this is by sending out automated bulk emails.

If you really care about creating an influencer campaign with someone, you might want to send them a personalized email, including some specific about their content. This will increase your chances drastically.

However, sending out just one email like this can take a couple of hours. And let’s be honest it is not very scalable.

Instead of that you can use bulk email automation tools where you can upload your doc and it will automatically apply person’s name to an email you are sending them and with one click you can send out thousands of emails.

I don’t I am allowed to leave any links here, but if you want my recommendations for the software, check an article on my website or my youtube video description.

A few things to keep in mind when sending bulk cold emails to influencers:

Email Testing:

  • A/B test different subject lines
  • Test different copy
  • Sending times
  • Number of emails

Email Sequences:

It is very important to send more than one email! You will often get a response only from the follow-up emails as most influencers are extremely busy.

Here is what the email sequence can look like:

  • Initial email
  • Follow up #1 (1-2days)
  • Follow up #2 (7 days~)

Email copy Example:

‘Hi (name),

I am.... from.... (insert smth interesting) (link).

I have come across your account (IG handle/YT link..) and I absolutely loved it/specific post.
I think our brand could be a great fit with your audience. (Why? some benefits)

We would love to send you some free(insert product) for you to test it out and see if you could do a review of it. (special offer)

Let me know what you think and let’s discuss this further.’

This is a very basic example and obviously, you want to adjust this based on your goals and objectives that I mentioned above.

The main point is though to relate to the influencer, show real interest, and actually explain why it will benefit their audience to work with you.

I discuss this a bit further in the video, as I have been on the influencer side as well and can understand this a lot more. But this is what you want in a nutshell.

How Much To Pay Influencers

First of all, you need to calculate your ROI(Return On Investment) to understand how much realistically you can afford.

Here is a basic formula you can follow to make some estimates:

Story views x 2-3% click-through rate
Your conversion rate x click-throughs
Average order value x conversions
Revenue - Fulfillment = Your margins
Your margins - influencer costs = profit

Here is an example of putting some numbers into this formula:

10K Story views x 2.5% click through rate = 250
2% conversion rate x 250 = 5
$100 AOV x 5 conversions = $500
$500 revenue - $100 Fulfillment = $400
$400 - $200 influencer costs = $200 profit

This might not seem like crazy numbers, but keep in mind that you can work with higher numbers and higher profit margins and you can also outsource this whole process fairly cheap.

Asides from that, don’t just look at this as one time ROI. Once you run an influencer marketing campaign, you will get other benefits coming in later on.

Some additional benefits:

  • Authority recommendations (testimonials)
  • User-generated content (re-use in ads)
  • New Instagram followers (extra revenue)

At the end of the day, you will get much more than just one-time purchase and that is very important to understand when doing this.

I hope you found this useful, as it took me some time to put it all together. If you did you can also check out the video tutorial I have made for this. I also have some other useful videos in general
