I'm a developer. I've spent years building software for different industries, but healthcare seemed like the obvious next market. I started building the usual health-tech stuff - appointment systems, dashboards, billing integrations. But every single clinic I worked with had the same underlying problem that no software was solving: patient education was broken.
I'd watch doctors explain treatment options, patients nod along, then call back confused because they forgot what was said. Clinics would either hire designers to create handouts or just give up and use nothing. As a developer, I thought this was ridiculous. Why am I building complex appointment systems when the real problem is way simpler? Clinics just need professional patient education materials they can use immediately without paying for design or dealing with complexity.
So I built it. Specialty-specific templates because a pediatrician needs different materials than a dermatologist. Editable directly on the platform. Free, because if the goal is actually helping clinics, the business model can wait. Technically, none of it is complex. The real work was learning how clinics actually operate, not writing cutting-edge code.
I released it free with no paywalls. The response surprised me. Thousands of clinics started using it. That's the thing about solving real problems - people actually use them. Sometimes the biggest problems aren't the most complex ones. They're just the ones everybody's ignoring.
