free-saas - feedback request + list your service

Hi,

As a side-side-project I've built https://freesaas.monster to get my mind a break off my main project .

It's a list of services that offer free tier to get your startup or side project started without being worried about budget.

I'd be happy to get any feedback, if you think this is useful, and if you want to add your own service or other services that you use for free.

    Pretty cool! I think it would be nice if there was a filtering toolbar, and if the data were displayed in a table instead of in cards.

    The way it's set up right now might be good for just browsing around, but it makes it hard to find specific products that I might want to use.

      Others have also mentioned the filtering.
      You can actually filter by clicking any of the tags on the card, but I guess it is just not clear enough. I will get that to the toolbar maybe.
      Interesting thought about using using a table. I will play with it.

    Hi @Danbars,

    It is really helpful to know the SAAS without a monthly fee. You have a nice clean layout with well laid out cards.

    1. It would be great to see free tier limits, without having to visit the SAAS provider website
    2. May be you could add an option to filter based on the type of service, e.g. Analytics, Customer support etc.
    3. You can also engage users by allowing them to upvote.

      1. The free tier limits are available when you click the logo or "read more" and get to the product page. Would you prefer to see them on the main card? I didn't want to make the list too cluttered.
      2. You can click any of the tags on each card in order to filter by them. Maybe I need to somehow allow filtering in the toolbar
      3. Yes, I thought about it, but then I'd also have to make users register. I will probably add that at some point.

    Love the site. Although I'm not sure whether cards is the best form of UI.

    I kinda want to see the name of the product, what problem it solves me, what I get for free (limit wise), and what the pricing of the next band is.

      2. You can see the free tier limits if you click the read-more or the logo. Adding the next-band is a good idea. I always look at it myself when I think if I should use some free service.

        I'm oldschool and a big fan of spreadsheets / tabular-ish layout.

        Or even a horizontal card layout.
