Hey, Indie Hackers,
I journeyed from the Freelance 3D Motion Graphic artist world to Product Hunt and indie hackers, and I fell in love with the tech realm and even started listening to indie music. 🚀
What got me there?
Well, as I was deep in the trenches of post-production.
I worked on a project with a client about three months ago.
The project started smoothly, but then revisions came in and drained his budget, And he got super frustrated; he wanted to make the best commercial he could with his budget. Unfortunately, the project never aired, and we ended up not working again.
Even though it happens occasionally, it bothered me a lot because he generally loved the work, and we had good chemistry, but it was just the unexpected stuff.
And that kept me thinking about how I could prevent that from happening in the future.
So... a week or two later, I stopped taking more clients and began designing the site. I programmed the automation and launched Submotion on Product Hunt. Yes, I dove head-first.
I have zero knowledge about all these things, especially about marketing. I knew I needed to step up my game. So I drove to my local Blockbuster and rented out "Thank You for Smoking."
So now we are seven days after the launch; what is the current situation like?
Well, it's... all right.
I've got two clients and some interest,
So that's around 10K MRR. It's a start, and I'm in it for the long haul.
How do I see the future moving on, and how do I see submotion growing?
I'm going to invest 100% to make my customers happy, invest in their success, and get much-needed feedback to see what else they might need. I don't see it any other way.
Here is the site if you want to check it out: https://submotion.co/
