Freelance platform... but maybe different?
Hi guys..
I was looking to hire some developers via freelance platforms, but i wasn't able to find one that i can pay people partially according to each step is completed.
I was thinking something like this: I have a project that'll take 3 months to be complete and i'll pay $7600 for example. I post this project in the freelance platform and separate each tasks with it owns payment:
- Task 1: $300
- Task 2: $700
- Task 3: $1400
- Task 4: $1800
- Task 5: $2400
- Task 6: $1000
This way the developer will receive the payments according to each step he completes. Something like this exists? If not, i think i'll have something to put my hands on.
Something similar is built on upwork, they call it milestones. Each 'milestone' is a task, as you have defined it. https://support.upwork.com/hc/en-us/articles/115006324388-Propose-Milestones
I was about to mention Upworks' milestones, but other beat me to it. But I do agree that's exactly what you mentioned.
I believe there are platforms where its agreed upon by the buyer and freelancer before they start the project. I would suggest you do some research on how the milestones of a project work and the functionality of escrow.

Understand all the issues and the concerns of both freelancers and buyers.. and if you can solve those problems, than you'll be serious competition.
