Freelancer / Upwork but with visible portfolio
I’ve tried hiring a freelancer from these places a couple of times, but was aghast at the quality of work that I got back.
Is there a site where the portfolio of the poster is more visible?
On freelancer/upwork you can see some of their outputs in the form of products, but it doesn’t really tell me much about the extent of their involvement or what the code looks like...
When recruiting on upwork I usually have a small task I ask 3-4 freelancers to do and check the quality of work before I recruit them. I have found it is better to spend a few 100 dollars before going into the bigger projects. That has worked well for me till now.
On the marketplaces there are a lot of scope to showcase the portfolio but most of the time freelancers don't focus on that for the existing workload. To ensure their expertise and matching with your requirements you can do a thing. Make a list of your requirements send to them for answers with detail. I hope you got my idea.
