Freelancers — how do you prove your credibility online?

Hey freelancers 👋

I’ve seen so many talented people lose opportunities — not because they lack skill, but because clients can’t verify who’s real and reliable.

That’s why I built TrustVerifi
— a platform where you can:
✅ Verify your identity
💬 Collect verified client testimonials
🏅 Earn credibility badges
📊 Build a trust score that grows with your work

It’s your proof-of-reputation that travels with you — wherever you work.

Curious: how do you currently build trust with new clients before your first project?

Great question — credibility online is one of the hardest things to build early on because everyone says they’re good, but few show objective evidence. A few things I’ve seen work well for freelancers:

    • Outcome-focused mini case studies — not just screenshots, but “before → after → measurable lift” (e.g., “improved signup flow → 25% drop in friction”).
    • Client testimonials with specifics — include what was done and the impact (revenue, time saved, conversion increase).
    • Open project logs or demos — short Loom clips, hosted prototypes, or public repos with READMEs that explain the problem → solution → reasoning.
    • Community contributions — thoughtful replies to questions or writeups that show you actually understand problems others have.

For everyone here: what’s one credibility signal you think matters most to clients when they decide to hire, especially early on (e.g., case outcomes, testimonials, public writing, open-source work)?
