Hello fellow hackers, looking for some feedback on my second product - Tally.
Tally is a simple invoice sending and tracking mobile app. https://tallyapp.xyz
Happy Hacking, Derrick
No, I wouldn't. I send invoices directly from my accounting tool, where the invoice will be automatically booked to the appropriate accounts.
Invoicing that's not linked to accounting actually requires more work because then you have to do that accounting manually.
What accounting tool do you use?
Collmex: https://collmex.de/
It's not particularly modern in terms of UI or especially user-friendly but it's 100% compliant with German accounting standards, which - me being based in Germany - is a boon because it saves a ton of work.
What are the advantages of Tally vs let's say QuickBooks or Xero? I personally use WaveApps because is free and does everything I need.
I'm hoping to create a simpler UX by just focusing in on 1 or 2 core features I can offer.
Yeah WaveApps looks pretty nice.
Not a freelancer, but the landing page looks very nice! You did a great job with the copy and I appreciate the negative space -- it's pretty calming which feels on-brand for your product.
"Sign Up" button on the top right of your landing page doesn't link to anything, though. (I see that it does work on other pages...)
Have you started talking to users? Without knowing too much about freelance work, one thing that seems intuitively important is a little more information about how the product actually works. Do I enter data manually? Do I take pictures of my invoices? Or import them? Stuff that like would go a long way toward making the product feel real and helping me understand what my workflow would be.
Hope this helps :)
haha I'll have to fix that :P (thought I clicked through everything yesterday but guess I missed one)
Yeah I've got one freelancer friend I've been talking with whose pretty keen on using something like this. It would just be manual data entry for the invoice, but some things only need to be entered once - like Client information.
Thanks!
Agree. Landing itself is great. But... what is behind curtains? I could not see any special things
Thanks, I'll work on getting more screenshots posted :)
Hey! A few days late, but wanted to reach out as I had the exact same problem, and started working a solution too. So I think there may be a need for something like this.
Hey, thanks! Glad it's not just me haha
