I'm using a mix of email/chat apps to share deliverables, and a Dropbox folder with a spreadsheet to track payments. Thinking of moving to QuickBooks soon to manage the financial aspect, although it would be nice to have something that lets me point specific payments to specific deliverables in order to keep everything organized (maybe QuickBooks already does this?)
Is anyone else using a particularly compelling combination of tools?
Tom
I’ve just created Drum (www.getdrum.com) to manage a good part of this.
You’ll have to still manage invoicing etc from Xero or Quickbooks etc, but Drum will let you handle formal sign-off of milestones and allow you to attach deliverables to specific tasks to keep things nice and organised!
I’ve only just created a video of me setting up a new client project here: https://youtu.be/wMjX_1d_pWU. It’s in free early access and you’re more than welcome to try it out!
We've created Envoice (https://www.envoice.in) - invoicing for online businesses to simplify your invoicing process and get paid online with a debit or credit card via your payment gateway(Stripe/Paypal/Payoneer/Square/Klik and Pay).
You can see how the process looks end to end: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPQqS5lIyZ8
It is FREE for 1 client, feel free to try it out.
I use a tool called Fluxes, fluxes.com. It allows me to list and track tasks, share projects and files with clients. In one word, I can operate everything from a single place. I also use Google calendar to keep note of important events.
I usually just put how many hours I worked or which milestone I reached on the invoice and that's it. I use my app simpleinvoices.io because I find Quickbooks and the like to be bloated. For deliverables I use email and Google Drive for larger files. Any specific reason you need something more advanced?
