Hey people It is really cool to easy a platform like Indie Hackers. I'm not sure how to use this platform efficiently. I'm going to make a first step as a freelancer in this community.
It depends on what is it that you are trying to achieve from this community. What are you doing to promote yourself apart from IndieHackers? There are different websites like Upwork, Freelancer.com, etc. for finding work, but it isn't easy if you are starting and have not built relationships and personal referrals.
This is where you could use this community as it allows you time to be in the public eye. Produce good content such as blogs and tutorials, and maybe you can offer online courses. Post these stuff here and try to engage with others and help out. Start a blog with Medium or WordPress and set yourself right away. You'll most probably have to do these stuff for free and wouldn't reap any reward for at least a few months but it will definitely help you in the long term.
@jayclouse has written about the three main strategies for acquiring work for freelancers here if you want to know more
Apart from Upwork and Freelancer, there are a lot of different platforms where a freelancer may find a job. It is also useful to have a social media account filled with your professional info.
Thanks for sharing this @anubhavsingh93!
That's Great. Thank you @anubhavsingh93
You can also use CRM Freelancing for you clients.
What is it you do and what are you looking to do and drive outside of indiehackers, maybe if I know I can give you some pointers :) Im always happy to help
I'm working as full stack developer in a company and I have planned to start my journey as a freelancer. I'm not sure how to get clients.
You may start with short-term projects. You need to use some freelance platforms to find clients. and then work on long-term cooperation.
