From 0 → 1,000 AI projects (and counting)

I’ve been building Hot100.ai — a weekly chart of AI-built projects, ranked on quality instead of pure hype.

We’re close to 1,000 projects now (Product Hunt launch in Oct with 180 votes - 8th on the Day) Only 100 land on the main chart each week, which is what AI search engines index when people ask “what are the best AI tools right now?”

Recently shipped:

• AI scoring

• Public API (already seeing usage)

• Semantic Search

Now experimenting with monetisation + better discovery as things scale.

using Replit as my main IDE from the start. Gone over budget every single month on tokens, trying to reign that in a bit now but some of the early setup months and infra took more time that I thought. Experimenting with what makes sense on the monetisation side of things, scope creep is everywhere, but the steady growth and experiment of it all is well worth it.
