Hey Indie Hackers π
Earlier this year, I launched TurboTags.app
β a free AI-powered tool that helps creators generate SEO-friendly tags, viral hashtags, and optimized titles for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
I built it because I was frustrated with spending hours guessing which hashtags or titles might work, only to see inconsistent results.
What happened after launch:
π TurboTags now supports 30+ regions and multiple languages, reaching creators worldwide.
π It started gaining organic traction after I shared it on small communities like Reddit and Twitter.
π οΈ I built everything lean: no-code automation + Vercel + AI APIs.
π€― The biggest surprise? Creators loved simplicity β they donβt want dashboards, just instant results.
Lessons I learned so far:
Simple > Complex β One clear feature that solves a real pain point beats feature-heavy tools.
Distribution > Code β Growth only started when I shared the project openly (Indie Hackers, Medium, communities).
Build in Public works β Sharing small updates, not just the final product, attracted more users.
Whatβs next?
I want to build my next project β something useful, simple, and scalable like TurboTags. But Iβm still deciding between:
Creator tools (stay in the same niche)
Productivity / Utilities
Or even something unexpected, like finance or local tools
π‘ So Iβd love your thoughts:
π Whatβs a tool you wish existed right now?
π Should I double down on creator tools or explore a new niche?
