Hey Indie Hackers,
I’m happy to say that I’ve reached $3,100 for the month of October day trading with my small $500 challenge account.
Key Lessons:
Be patient. The market rewards those who are patient and wait for their setup to come in.
Reflect daily. It’s easy to forget principles, so it’s very important to reflect on the good and bad that was done every trading session.
It’s okay to not trade every day. The market doesn’t always present you with you setup. And you have to be okay with that.
Next steps:
In the month of October I was able to get as high as 630% growth.
I will attempt to hit the $10,000 marker by the end of the November.
Feel free to reach out with questions or for a chat!
of course this guy is showing no proof and is selling coaching and courses.
Not sure why the hate. But all the proof is in my Twitter account.
Not only do I show my account value but also my winning percentage. And if you look in there, you’ll see some pretty consistent 100-300% winners.
No bullshit.
Good for you.
Can you recommend any tutorials, books, or anything that can help me get into daytrading as newbie?
Can you share what strategies are you using?
Yo @codingbruh there’s a lot of good material on YouTube on the basics and fundamentals of trading.
I share all my strategies on Twitter and on my emails newsletters!
Right now I’m doing a newsletter series about taking my small account and growing it into a median U.S salary within a year.
And I’m being transparent af about the whole process and psychology about it
First of all, good job on the returns!
Now if you don't mind me asking, do you solely trade options?
Hi @alonsoaguayo I do trade options, and I also have a background in being engineer for 10+ years :)
was surprised to see this one here. Daytrading on Indiehacker? Regardless, good job!
Indie hacking is all about creating a business, and being self-funded.
To me it seems like day trading can fit in here.
Thank you 🙂
hey...
you daytrade. what platform.
and forgive those of us who might not buy into the returns.
do you mind showing us the "daily/hourly" trades and the acct/cost positions
thanks
Hey @tsmith!
Yup, I day trade. I use the Webull platform.
I know, the returns seem unreal, and crazy. But, they're real. I showcase the progress of growing a small account on my Twitter account.
There, you can find screenshots of the contracts I buy, at where they sold, my account value growth, etc.
Every trading session is documented, with losses, and wins. As fucking transparent as I can be.
I understand the skepticism from some of you. I was in your shoes too.
But I learned that the power of compound is a really powerful tool. And trading money for money is far superior than trading time for money.
Now, this business is risky if you go into it with a gambling mentality. Discipline is a MUST
Not only in your trading plan but also in your risk management and psychology.
Keep asking questions.
