From Boom to Dust: The Untold Story of Dazo's Food Delivery! πŸ”πŸ•

Imagine a way to get your favorite meal without having to scroll through dozens of restaurant menus. That's exactly what Dazo, a startup from Bangalore, tried to do. But it had to close doors too soon. Let's find out why! πŸ‘€

Dazo (formerly TapCibo), a food tech startup based in Bangalore, was founded in 2015 by Monica Rastogi and Shashaank S. Dazo had a unique idea. They worked with only 20 restaurants, not hundreds. Why? Because they thought people just wanted the best food fast, without going through lots of menus. And they were right! πŸ²πŸš€

To do this, Dazo studied what people liked. They looked at what food people ordered, what they liked, and what they said about their food. That's how they gave people exactly what they wanted. 🎯

But there was a big problem. 🚨 The food business is tough. There's a lot of competition and you need a lot of money. Dazo couldn't keep up with the competition.

By 2016, Dazo ran out of money. Other businesses were selling food at low prices, and Dazo couldn't make enough money. They also had to spend more to get new customers. This lead to Closure of the Company.

Did Dazo try to do too much too fast? Or is this a lesson for others who want to start a food business? What do you think? πŸ‘‡

Could Dazo have done something different to stay open? Let's talk about it!
