After his first startup left him burned out, Sydney-based Keith Schembri found himself directionless - until he discovered coding with AI tools like Bolt and Claude. Inspired by a popular focus app that lacked key features, Keith began building his own solution: Eden, a productivity tool designed to help users enter deep focus effortlessly.
Balancing a retail job and finishing his final semester at the University of Technology Sydney, Keith spent nights and weekends bootstrapping the project. He launched a basic MVP in January 2025 and immediately opened it up to beta users.
Instead of selling upfront, Keith offered Eden for free—gathering feedback, iterating rapidly, and building a user-first product. By tapping into niche communities and addressing unmet needs, he grew Eden to 500 engaged users.
Now, with Eden nearly ready to exit beta, Keith is preparing to launch a $5/month paid plan with a 14-day trial. Early users get extended free access - a thank you for supporting the journey.
