From CDL Truck Driver to Algo Trading Founder: Why I Built XeanVI

I spent years behind the wheel of a semi-truck. Long hauls, long hours, weeks away from home. The money was decent but the trade-off was everything — time with my family, being present, having a life outside of a cab and a highway.

I started trading on the side trying to find a way out. Stocks, options, anything I could learn on my phone between runs. And I got decent at spotting setups. I understood momentum, I understood risk. But every time I sat down to actually trade I'd second-guess myself, move my stop, hold a loser too long hoping it'd come back. I knew what I was supposed to do and still couldn't make myself do it consistently.

That's when it hit me — the problem wasn't my strategy. It was me.

I started researching algorithmic trading. Systematic rules, automated execution, no emotion in the loop. It was exactly what I needed. But every solution I found required coding knowledge I didn't have, or cost thousands of dollars a month, or was built for institutional desks not a guy trying to trade from a truck stop parking lot.

So in March 2026 I started building XeanVI myself.

I had no software background. I had a family counting on me. I had limited time between shifts and responsibilities. I learned Flask, Python, brokerage APIs, database architecture — all of it from scratch while trying to build something real.

It hasn't been easy. Finding time is the hardest part. Finding the knowledge is the second hardest. But every hour I put into this is an hour invested in getting home more, being present more, building something that lasts longer than any single paycheck.

XeanVI isn't live to the public yet. I'm still building. But the platform already scans 70+ symbols in real time, validates opportunities through AI-powered gates, and executes trades automatically via Alpaca — everything I wished had existed when I started.

I'm not a developer. I'm not a finance guy. I'm a truck driver who got tired of trading on emotion and decided to do something about it.
