From freelancer at 14 to agency owner at 16, turned SaaS founder

Hey everyone, Vic here from Affistash :) If you're active on IH, you might've seen some of my posts about my journey as a teen entrepreneur, or about helping founders and managers grow their affiliate marketing revenue. Anyway, today's post is about my story, hope you enjoy ✌️

At the age of 14, I discovered my passion for game development and started freelancing to hone my skills. By the time I turned 15, I had already ventured into the world of entrepreneurship and started my own software development agency called Developmently, where I hired some friends that knew how to code to join me on this exciting journey. For about 1.5 years, I ran the agency, and despite being just a teenager, we generated consistent revenue ranging from $1.2k to $2.5k.

As I gained experience and learned more about the industry, my ambitious goal was to make $100k at age 17 :) However, I realized that achieving this milestone solely through my agency would be challenging, even if I raised my pricing and attracted new clients every month. I knew I needed to think bigger and explore new opportunities.

That's when I decided to take a leap of faith and embark on a new adventure - starting a Software as a Service (SaaS) business. I was determined to create a product that would not only generate substantial revenue but also allow me to eventually exit with a significant sum above six figures.

This is how I started working on my latest adventure in January 2023 with my buddy Adrian. Affistash - a SaaS that helps software companies find and recruit the right affiliates/partners for their program ⛰️ This bad boy is currently generating me around 500$/month and I even got an acquisition offer in the meantime for $30k. I ended up rejecting it, because, I know that there is still much more to achieve with Affistash ;)

I am more positive about achieving my goal than ever, so if you guys want to be part of the journey, feel free to check my Twitter and if you want to talk, I always love to make connections, so here's my calendar

Cheers!

Bro, Sounds like you are hard crushing it!

What are you looking for to further achieve with Affistash?

    1. 1

Thanks a lot Thystler! Well, at the moment, I am working on getting as many companies to use the platform to help them grow their affiliate programs, but in the long term, I would love to scale it to 3k+ MRR and sell it for a six figures number.

I started selling trading card game stuff to my friends at 13-14 and then started selling digital goods online at age 15. I was 15 in 2005 though, today I'm 32 and once again working on a SaaS. For me that's the life I want to live. If you keep your money together well, you'll never have to work a regular job. Keep going.

Amazing. This post is very motivating. I had no idea what i wanted to do when i was 17 except impressing girls in my school (i am 45 now)

I am starting now with my side hustle and I hope it’s not too late.

At 14 I was only worried about whether my crush likes me too. You're ahead of the game bro. There's no doubt you will achieve that goal.

Thanks a lot mate! Really means a lot, and don't worry, at 14 I was also thinking about that kind of stuff too, it wasn't business all the time xD

You can definitely do it Vic! I saw a product here on IH very similar to Affistash that's doing very well. It's called Affisting

You should look more into their business model

Yeah, I actually know Affilisting, they are crushing it at the moment, I studied their startup for a while, but the difference between Affistash and Affilisting is the AI element of Affistash, we are trying to help marketers and companies grow their revenue using that

Inspirational stuff! Wishing you all of the best in your journey.

Beyond the obvious financial rewards, I'm wondering what you would see as success for yourself and your projects?

Woah you are doing great man.
Would love to connect with you and talk. What do you say?
