Hi Indie Hackers! ๐
Iโm Juan, a professional sports analyst turned solo founder.
For years, Iโve used industry-standard software for football (soccer) tactical analysis. While tools like Sportscode or Nacsport are powerful, they have three massive problems for 90% of coaches and scouts:
Price: They cost a big amount of money for pro features.
OS Lock: Many are Mac-only or require heavy installations.
Limits: Cheaper versions limit how many matches or buttons you can use.
I got tired of these artificial barriers. So, I decided to build a solution myself.
TactiCode is a modern, web-based sports video analysis tool designed to be unlimited and accessible.
I moved away from the "clunky desktop app" feel to build a Modern Hybrid Workflow:
Familiar Web Interface: It runs smoothly in Chrome on Windows or Mac. It feels like a modern SaaS tool (intuitive and clean), not like complex software from the 90s.
Smart Cloud Sync: While heavy video files stay local for zero-latency performance, all your data (tags, playlists, analysis) is instantly backed up to the cloud. You get desktop speed with cloud peace of mind.
I focused on what analysts actually use daily, stripping away the bloat:
โ Unlimited tagging, playlists, and button panels.
โ Live Tagging (tag matches live without video, sync later).
โ Offline-First (works even if your internet drops).
โ XML Import/Export (compatible with other workflows).
Iโm currently in Private Beta. It is free to use during this phase.
Who is this for?
I am looking for analysts, scouts, and coaches with some prior experience in match analysis or tactical observation.
Since TactiCode is a professional tool, your feedback will be most valuable if you are already familiar with the concepts of tagging matches, designing training sessions, or analyzing opponents (regardless of the sport).
If you want a modern workflow without the expensive license, Iโd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for reading! Happy to answer any questions about the tech stack (React + WASM + NestJS) or the roadmap in the comments.
Congrats on the launch! Out of curiosity, which analytics metric ended up being the biggest eye-opener for you, retention, activation, or something unexpected?
Hi, Ajayi, I didn't receive a notification of your comment, sorry. Thanks for your words! It's extremely early days, so looking at Retention is tricky right now. Currently, I'm 100% focused on Activation: making sure that once they sign up, they successfully install the Desktop Agent and analyze their first match without issues.
That's a fantastic idea! Reddit can be very useful for establishing a strong reputation for your product brand. Are you familiar with this process?
I tried a few months ago but they rejected my posts because they said it was spam ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ I told all the story of the app and my process but the system didn't publish any post so I decided to give up. Anyway, TactiCode continues growing and more people trying the beta, I'm quite happy :)
