Sampson Ovuoba is a software engineer and product builder based in Lagos, Nigeria, with a deep interest in developer tools that reduce friction and improve workflow efficiency. His latest venture, Windframe, was born from a recurring frustration while building user interfaces with Tailwind CSS.
Although he appreciated Tailwind’s consistency and thoughtful defaults, translating visual ideas into clean, production-ready code remained time-consuming. He envisioned a tool that would allow developers to design visually without sacrificing code ownership. That idea evolved into Windframe—an AI-powered visual builder that generates clean Tailwind CSS code while keeping developers in control.
Launched in July 2021 on Product Hunt and shared on Reddit, Windframe quickly gained traction, reaching its first 100 users within days and securing its first paying customer on launch day.
Building the product was technically demanding, requiring multiple rewrites and a custom rendering engine. Today, Windframe has grown to over 16,000 users, expanding steadily through word of mouth, SEO, and continuous iteration. Still bootstrapped, it stands as a testament to persistence, developer focus, and thoughtful product design in the age of AI.
