From Frustration to Fariway - How I Built An AI-Powered Golf Club Fitting App

Hi Everyone,

Long-time lurker, first-time poster here!

I'm super excited to finally share a passion project of mine and showcase what my late-night hours have formed into. My Golf Club Fitting – an AI-powered web app designed to help amateur golfers find their perfect clubs without the traditional guesswork or expensive in-person fittings. I found, as a passionate golfer who lacks time to play regularly, I didn't want expensive new golf clubs (the typical way to get a fitting), but I did want pre-owned clubs that suit my game.

The Solution
A simple, cost-effective web app that takes personal characteristics, swing characteristics, and desired outcomes, and utlises AI to deliver hyper-detailed club recommendations and estimated pricing that suit both game and budget. The app will deliver recommendations such as brand, models, lofts, shafts, shaft profiles, grip thickness, and all with a detailed explanation of how the suggested club configuration should suit your game.

How It Works?
Create an account > add credits (only £0.75 by the way) > complete the characteristics form > let AI do its magic. Simple right. Quick, cost-effective, and for just pennies, you know exactly where to focus your energy when looking for pre-owned clubs.

How Did I Build It?
Let me tell you, I am no coder, no developer, so this was a hurdle in itself. However, I stumbled on https://replit.com/, and let me tell you it's brilliant. It creates the UI, the database, integrates all the relevant APIs, and moves fast. I wish I could give more detail, but I'm just not that savvy, unfortunately. But with that being said, I think it's turned out well, and all tests suggest it runs well.

I Need Your Help!
Tell me what you think. Give me feedback.

This is a first draft and needs improving obviously, so I welcome any suggestions!

Thanks All.
