    This is helpful advice. You don't have to spend months or years, sometimes a week of initial research can do wonders.

      Yes, just do the right thing and go to the right place to do your research.

    The author's operation from idea to MVP verification is a textbook practice. I think that's why you were admitted by y. But you were admitted by Y combinator two years ago. Why is there only $1000 in income? The problem you solved is indeed a pain point. Many years ago, I considered similar projects, but there is a problem that cannot be ignored. Most of the content of instant messaging like slack is inefficient or even ineffective, and there are few valuable content that can really serve the community. This is why many early BBS will eventually be flooded by the Junk, so that they have to create the concept of a essence post.

    Wow! I always thought brainstorming ideas would never work for me, as I would write articles on Deepstash, and publish them. It never worked for me, though I personally think my articles are awesome! I am Emerald Reads on Deepstash, and I only have about 60 followers, despite my 5K reads altogether.

    Been using them for a Slack community I have. Really great product.

    I think the main thing that made Linen work is nailing the "product-market" fit with a novel solution.

    One of the worst things about having a Slack/Discord community is missing out on the SEO juice. I mean, just take a look at Indie Hackers, a good % of their traffic comes from Google just because their content is exposed to everyone.

    I think they'll reach way beyond $1k in a pretty short time.

    how do you handle your unknown tech specs, I mean, until today, I still don't know how to make my product result to be able to live in someone else domain (for example, if user use my product they will get random domain like myproductdomain.com, so how do I make that to be able to live in my customers domain like --> customerdomain.com) like yours?

    Taking down requirements, and knowing how to pick MVP features is a skill. You choose a few that were central to your success, as they were within your skill level yet also necessary for your first users. Not everyone could do this, so you have a good entrepreneurial sense.

    How did you go about building it so fast? Was it a no-code platform or did you code it out? Which libraries did you find helpful too?

    Amazing that you skipped login/signup and self-service bootstrapping!
    Such a great decision. even OAuth/SSO solutions can complicate things, and why spend time on automation before you have the load to justify it?
