Hey!

I recently got promoted from dev to product engineer role at CryptoXpress and my CTO gave me the opportunity to build any feature I wanted with full autonomy.. sort of like indiehacking within the organisation.

My observation was that most people think of cryptocurrencies only as a "trading"/gambling asset and most crypto platforms in India (where I'm from) don't even let you withdraw to external crypto wallets! What's the point of "currency" you can't actually use?

So I built a Crypto Marketplace within our app platform where people can buy/sell anything they can think of using crypto with the platform providing instant transactions along with inbuilt escrow and messaging to keep everyone safe (ahem crypto space has a reputation for.. you know.. scammers).

This obviously was possible within a week thanks to the recent LLM models which I think devs need to use more to boost their productivity instead of following the doomer narrative of "coding is dead".

I think this opens up a whole new way to get started with crypto. But that's just what I think, and products aren't built based on what one person thinks but rather on what the market really wants.
