From indiehacking to $1.3M funding
I quit my job in July last year. Worked on the product for almost a year and then raised $1.3M

I know this is not quite what IH is about. I just want everyone to know that if you're interested in growing your startup less organically, it's possible.

I think people do like hearing these stories, indie hackers aren't necessarily anti-funding. You would get a better response posting it as a post rather than a Twitter link/thread which is somewhat harder to follow and get to the point quickly.

Definitely a great success story. If done right funding can be very viable option for specific projects and if you are funded by experienced people, you can benefit from mutual cooperation.

I wish I read this earlier! "If testers don't understand, it's on you not them": this hit hard, I was right there :D Anyways, sometimes we are just too hard on ourselves and you have a really cool product. We learn, we grow :)

Tiny gripe: It's a little annoying that the referral link (https://amie.so/w/?ref=6YNBG1RFL) goes directly to the signup, and not to the landing page. Not a huge deal, but the landing page is so nice and it's too bad I can't refer people through it. :)
