From SEO to AI Search: How Zain Shoaib Built SEO Agento

Zain Shoaib is a Helsinki-based digital marketing consultant with over eight years of experience helping both enterprise companies and SMBs grow online. He began his career as a Drupal developer before transitioning into digital marketing and SEO, where he witnessed firsthand the industry’s recurring challenges - and emerging opportunities.

Today, Zain sees AI search as the next major shift, similar to SEO’s early days. As tools like ChatGPT become trusted decision-makers for founders and marketers, being mentioned by large language models has become a new competitive advantage. To address this shift, Zain founded SEO Agento, an AI-powered SEO agent platform designed to help founders and SMBs increase traffic and conversions from Google and AI-driven search engines.

While experimenting with AI for SEO, Zain identified a major flaw: LLMs frequently hallucinate data, producing unreliable insights. To solve this, he built a system where verified, real-world data is collected first and then processed by autonomous SEO AI agents. These agents handle keyword research, content planning, optimization, technical SEO, and lead generation within a single platform.

Launched in October 2025 and built in just three days, SEO Agento reached 2,600 signups and €500 MRR in its first month. Zain continues to run his agency alongside building SEO Agento, now shifting focus toward product refinement and long-term organic growth.
