From Spreadsheets to FinancialAha: My Journey in Building a Better Financial Planning Tool

A few years ago, I started using Google Sheets for managing my finances, and it worked well for a while. But as my financial planning needs got more complex, I hit some limitations with spreadsheets, especially with tracking assets and forecasting future scenarios. It’s a free financial planning app that aims to address the gaps I found in spreadsheets. While I’m planning to add some paid features in the future (details are on the pricing page), the basic functions for financial planning and projections will remain free. It’s currently best used on desktop, but I’m working on a mobile version.

Here’s what it can do:

• Track all your assets & debt: Manage everything from cash to stocks to real estate in one place.
• Cash flow insights: Understand your income and spending habits to plan better.
• Financial projections: Use your data to make realistic projections and plan for future expenses or investments.
• Privacy and security: Your data stays in your browser and is encrypted end-to-end. It never gets stored unencrypted on our servers.
