From Time Zones to Thank-Yous: The Unexpected Evolution of UPT

Hey indie hackers πŸ‘‹

A few months ago, I built UPT β€” a scheduling tool to simplify meeting across time zones.
Japan, the US, the Netherlands β€” it was messy.

But while using it, something surprising happened.
People started using it not just to share availability β€” but to deliver emotions.

So I leaned into that.
I added visuals, animations, embedded maps, even call buttons.

Now, it’s something else entirely:
A LiveCard β€” a sharable capsule that feels more like a gift than a message.

πŸ“– I just published the full story here:

Would love your feedback β€” especially if you’ve ever built something that evolved beyond its original purpose.
